If you have a Foodie on your Christmas gift list who loves to spend time in the kitchen, these Seven Delicious Christmas Gifts for Foodies all come from American Small Businesses. Small Businesses and particularly the food industry have been greatly impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Here at Snack and Sauce our mission is to be a megaphone for small businesses that are producing some of the best tasting and highest quality food products right in your back yard.
Each one of the items on this list has been reviewed on our site and personally taste-tested by us. Click on the company name to read the product review and click on the item name to be taken to the website to purchase unless otherwise noted. We are recommending these products with confidence and know that the foodie on your gift list will love them. And, we have no financial incentive to promote these items, we purchased these items with the specific intent of reviewing them and found some amazing flavors.
Rubs:
B.T. Leigh’s Award-winning BBQ and meat rubs We reviewed all their rubs and found out that B. T. Leigh’s apparently can’t make a product that we don’t like. Look for reviews for their sauces in 2021 on the Snack and Sauce website. Links to reviews are below:
Somethin to Cry About (spicy rub)
Somethin to Beef About (beef rub)

Seasonings:
Dils Punjabi Masala is a seasoning created right here in Baltimore. And this one is delicious with no heat and no salt, just classic Indian flavors. It works great for Tandoori Chicken, wings, potatoes, vegetables, and many other food items. You really have to try this, if you are stuck in a rut of cooking with the same flavors, this will provide a party for your palate.
Purchase Dil’s for a stocking stuffer here.
Far Out Foodz seasonings located in Buford, Georgia has some amazing stocking stuffers and is even offering Gift Sets for this holiday season. I have no idea where to start with Far Out Foodz because every seasoning I have tried has been excellent. They use quality ingredients and you can tell when you taste the flavor. A few of my favorites are Cajun Sprinkle, Buffalo, Maple Chipotle, and Mango Habanero.

Poppa Earle’s is one of the first reviews Snack and Sauce posted and everyone who tries this that I know, loves it. Poppa Earle’s is a Louisiana Caun Seasoning from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and it contains less salt than the large brands but still had full Cajun flavor. I have used Poppa Earles as a base of my rub for pork ribs which turned out great and I have also used it in gumbos and soups. Poppa Earle’s will find a regular spot in the spice cabinet of the foodie on your Christmas list.

Hot Sauces:
To me, hot sauce makes the perfect stocking stuffer for Christmas, it fits perfectly in a stocking and it is more popular than ever before. It’s also one of my favorite Christmas gifts to receive.
ATX Hot Sauce straight from Austin Texas ATX Hot Sauces has an amazing lineup of creative and unique sauces, small-batch, great flavor profiles, and gift sets too! Check out their website for all their flavorful offerings.
We reviewed their Smoked Habanero and their bestseller “The Juice.” Both are flavorful and must-tries.
Shop all the ATX hot sauces here.
Ruben’s hot sauce is the second creation on our list made here in Baltimore, Ruben’s is different and delicious. Ruben’s is an emulsified sauce that introduces itself to your taste buds as hotter than expected but grows on you quickly, we think it is best on Mexican food and French fries.
Shop Ruben’s Hot Sauce here
Last but absolutely not least, Claude’s BBQ Private Reserve Hot Sauce If you can get it, you will love it.
Claude can only be found on Twitter and you must DM him to see if he has any available. I messaged with him recently and he said he should have stock when this list is posted. Read my review and see why people clamor for this sauce. Claude’s is a well-crafted sauce that any hot sauce aficionado would love to try. And they probably have never seen it if they don’t spend a lot of time on twitter.
We at Snack and Sauce thank you for a great first year of reviews, we learned a lot and made a lot of friends. Please follow us on our social media channels so you don’t miss any of the fun in 2021.
