The smoky flavor in this Smoked Habanero ATX hot sauce is what hits first, it is subtle, then flavorful, then the heat sneaks up on you. In the video below, I tried this sauce on chicken wings and I have used it since on eggs, beans and rice, and other dishes that needed a splash of smoke and heat.

My breakdown of Ruben’s hot sauce is this, it is an emulsified sauce that is smooth and does not have vinegar as an ingredient. If you like sauces that are not vinegar-based, give Ruben’s a shot. The heat level was much spicier than I expected. The combination of Chile de Arbol and Cayenne peppers really give Rueben’s a unique kick.
